Today in 1908: Former President Grover Cleveland dies in Princeton, New Jersey, at age 71.
This Wedgwood creamer was part of a toy tea set used by his kids. Grover and Frances Cleveland had five children and one of them, Esther, was the first president's child to be born in the White House, arriving during his second term in 1893. Grover had been a bachelor when he began his presidency and his sister Rose had performed the duties of first lady until he married Frances Folsom in 1886. Their wedding took place in the Blue Room of the White House. #todayinhistory
