A small glimpse into what I have to look at each and every day. Living with someone who's not on the same eating plan as you can be challenging but it's not impossible. I see people all the time that want to change the way they look but they don't want to change anything about their lifestyle. There's this magic quality that each human being possesses deep down inside called willpower; it's up to you wether or not you choose to exercise it. You need to decide if change is something you really want. Because if it is, then that means you're going to have to work at it. And by work at it, I mean it's going to be a struggle each and every day to pass up on the takeout at work, the dessert after dinner, the partying and drinking. It's going to be a struggle that, after time, becomes easier and almost second nature. There are times I open these cabinets and see the poptarts staring right back at me, but most of the time, I see nothing of nutritional value in it for me and close it. Do I cheat? Yes. I'm not saying that you can't indulge and treat yourself once in a while, but if you're planning on reaching goals and making changes, the first place you need to start is inside yourself. Put the weights down and get out of the kitchen. Stand in front of the mirror and decide if you are ready to work towards your goals.
