For those of you who don't know me or my story that I've shared before - allow me to tell you a little more about myself. I am 27 years old. I am a Leo. I am from the Midwest but currently reside in California. Growing up, I was back & forth between family & foster care. I lived in a single wide trailer (which I was embarrassed about my whole life) as a child- I dealt with an alcoholic parent, abuse, neglect and betrayal. I've experienced and seen a lot at a very young age which ultimately forced me to grow up extremely fast. I moved out when I was 16 years old. Worked 3 jobs & went to school. Shortly after, like most troubled childhood teens, I got mixed up with the wrong crowd. Direction was a dead end. If you look into my eyes you can tell I've been through a lot. I used to be so ashamed of where I came from and I honestly for a long time I felt hopeless. I share my story to tell you that if you have a broken past you can either grow from it or let it drag you down. Just because you came from nothing doesn't mean you will amount to nothing. I bet if you look at me... And judged this book by its cover... You would have never known the pain and struggle I've experienced to get where I am today. Remember that you have the power of choice. I chose to not let it ruin me but to flip it and use it to make me strong. Use it to shape my future. I used it to empower my mind to better myself. I can look at who I am today and be proud of the woman I have become. #Justkeepinitreal
