Once we were in a restaurant and Mazzy asked for a treat after dinner. I thought she meant dessert and had the waitress bring her a glossy picture menu full of huge ice cream sundaes. Then I found out what she was asking for was a single peppermint from a bowl on the hostess table. Another time, we were at the toy store buying a friend a birthday present when Mazzy said she wanted something too.
