Using the #NikonD750 and Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm f2.8 G lens, we used a manual exposure and set the shutter to 30 seconds to allow ample time to capture the strikes. Using an f6.3 aperture, we raised our ISO up to 800 to get the detail and exposure we were looking for.
A great tip for #lightningphotography is to use a radar app to track not only where a storm is, but where it's heading. This way you can ensure you're in an ideal location, in this case on the other side of the lake, with the heavy clouds positioned for drama. #mynikonlife
