A pod of three gray whales surfaces along the cliffs of Big Sur, CA as they make their yearly migration up north to Alaska. These whales will migrate up to 11,000 miles in one year as they are leaving their breeding grounds in Baja California for the feeding grounds in Alaska. They hug the shoreline to avoid killer whales, who love to hunt the gray whales migrating through this area.
