Hi! It's Helena Thordal-Christensen and I want to thank everyone for voting for me! I never thought I would make it this far. Anyway, my pre-show ritual is a little weird but it works. I never eat too much before a show because I'll get sick from nerves so I'll always have a vitamin water and a sugary snack. Then, after putting my shoes on I'll always go to the bathroom because my nerves always gives me bad stage pee. After that I go upstairs in costume and rosin like crazy and do a ton of relevés and go over all the choreography. Right before I go on stage I hug everyone and say "merde" and do lots of jumping right before I go on and twerk and dance around in flimsical motions. This really helps me get my nerves out, warms my body up, and gets my adrenaline going, not to mention it also gets me smiling. My good luck charm is an old sweater of my moms that she gave me and I wear it because she's my inspiration and idol. This picture was right before PNB's Flowers.
