“Today on the corner of Greenpoint Ave. and West St. in Greenpoint still stands the Faience Manufacturing Company’s building, which is now slated to be turned into condominiums. But from 1881-1892, Faience was a major Brooklyn maker and manufacturer. They produced some of the finest and most elaborate porcelains made in the United States at that time for an elite market.
