PORTER STANDでは「旅」というコンセプトを元にPOSTがセレクトした写真集を販売しています。
本日は、新たに加わった写真集の中から「Egypt」をご紹介いたします。
カメラオブスキュラの原理を使った写真作品を制作しているVera Lutterが、エジプトを旅した際に撮影した作品です。
普段は窓のある建物をカメラに仕立てて撮影を行う彼女ですが、屋外での撮影だったため普段の手法は使うことができず、用意した大きなトランクをカメラに仕立てて撮影しました。
トランクという完全に光を遮ることができないものを使ったため作家の意識しない光が入り、結果的に思いがけない感光によって作品に面白さが付加されました。

Good morning.
At PORTER STAND we carry photobooks selected by Post under a concept of "TRIP".
Today we would like to introduce "Egypt" which has just been added to the line-up.
It is a photo book of Vera Lutter, who takes photos using the principle of camera obscura.
It was taken during her trip to Egypt.
Usually she takes photos using buildings with windows as a camera, however since these were taken outside she was not able to use her normal method.
Therefore she used a large trunk that she had prepared, and used it as a camera.
Using a trunk that could not completely shut down light had created exposure that she did not expect.
This added uniqueness to the photos.
We have the actual book in store.
