The overlook at Antelope House Ruin, an Anasazi village in #Arizona photographed by Edward S. Curtis in 1906. Curtis, one of the most famous photographers of his day, worked 16-hour days for 30 years to publish a landmark 20-volume work, “The North American Indian.” A @nytimestravel writer set out to see the landscape that inspired Curtis and find out what remained of the cultures that called it home. See another photo from the trip by @burchamphoto on @nytimestravel. #landscapes
