Happy #ReptileAwarenessDay! The gharial is a crocodilian. They use their long skinny snouts to catch fish. They are critically endangered with only four populations living in the wild—three populations are in India and one is in Nepal. When baby gharials are ready to hatch from their eggs, they actually vocalize from inside the shell—signaling their mother to dig them out of the hole nest she built to incubate them. #WeSaveSpecies
