Martin: "Where did you grow up?”
Pinky: "Austin, Texas. Hitchhiked to Hollywood.”
M: “How long have you been on the streets?”
P: “Twenty-seven, twenty-eight years. Toughening it out.”
M: “How old are you now?”
P: “I’m gonna be forty in December.”
M: “You hitchhiked here when you were thirteen?”
P: “Twelve, yeah. [It took] Three days.”
M: “Why did you leave home?”
P: “I was unhappy…My friend told me Hollywood was more me than anything.”
M: “Did you live with your parents at that time?”
P: “I lived family member to family member. Dad didn't want me. Mom didn't want me. So I was just tossed back and forth. So why not come to Hollywood. Somebody wanted me here.”
M: “How do you come by money, living on the street?”
P: “Hustling, maneuvering things.”
M: “Hustling as in…?”
P: “Prostitution…”
M: “Up on Santa Monica?”
P: “Yeah, a lot…You gotta be what they want. If you're not what they want, you don't get paid. So you gotta do pretty much…You gotta push the limits and that’s where... that's up to you on how far you wanna push your limits.”
M: “You meet them and they take you to a motel room?”
P: “Hotel room, their house, party play.”
M: “Party play?”
P: “Yeah, them an[d] five of their friends. Just whatever they want. Then you make the money. It's all business, nothin’ personal, just business.”
M: “Mostly older guys?”
P: “Yeah, mostly older guys that get into this young kid, grandson type thing. They like the whole young, hairless thing. You know what I mean? Because they want to see if they can take some innocence or something. So if you do it…”
M: “If you pretend to be a really young kid?”
P: “Yeah. If you pretend to be young, shave your body, put on their grandson’s clothes or little boy’s clothes to make them feel like you're giving them what they want. Hey fuck it. At least they're not hurting…The way they I see it? They're not hurting a kid…I’m already fuckin..[fucked up] I can handle it.” .
