On this #ValentinesDay, while we celebrate #love all over the world, lets spare a thought for those who live in places #WhereLoveIsIllegal “We heard people stoning the door and windows while shouting, telling us to immediately leave the house because they were tired of us, claiming that we are curse to the village, and even to the teenagers in the village… After a while of storming the door, it broke and we were pulled out, thrown on the ground, beaten and flogged for almost an hour. We were half dead.” Miiro is a 25-year-old #gay man from #Uganda. He was arrested and beaten because he is gay. After four days, he was released from prison by human rights lawyers and went into hiding for two and a half months.
