@_goinghome here, sharing a couple last photo favorites of mine. The account got a little wonky last night. I meant to share these in the evening but ooooooh shucks, guess y'all just have to wake up with me today instead. My time is almost up, so before I go.. I have a couple photos left to share and story or two to tell. This image was taken in Louisiana. Where in Louisiana? No idea. No earthly clue. I had finished an event in Nola and had some time to kill. My friends had already shown me the French Quarter and touchdown Jesus (if you know this reference, consider us friends), so I was rolling solo. I had two options, enjoy the amazingly plush hotel that was paid for and furnished and offered really good room service. Or, call up valet and get my car pulled up. I opted for choice two. I grabbed a cup of coffee (dirty chai is my drink of choice), loaded up the rental and drove. I wasn't sure where I was going. I wanted to see some plantation houses and explore the terrain of Louisiana. I spent some time wandering from field to field, impressive old mansion to even more impressive and even older mansions. Then I said screw it. Nola was back in a certain direction and Siri would get me back to my hotel bed if I needed her to. So I decided just to drive. I took the longest possible routes I could manage to get back into town. And I came across the most incredible places and sights. Tucked away from the mainstream attractions, hidden off the typical GPS route. This was how I spent my day off work and I recommended this method to anyone and everyone. Stop playing it so safe, what's the worst that can really happen?
