Yesterday I exceeded my daily macro intake by 30% ?, oops Yes, sometimes we make mistakes and forget about our diet or macros, usually it happens like in a dream, like we were sleeping and then we wake up and all pizza was gone ? ( that's what my clients tell me?) It happens to everyone, trust me, as a coach I deal with it every day and Im not excluding myself from this club ? What I'm not going to do today and you shouldn't be doing either is : ? stressing myself out about yesterday ?feel extremely guilty and bit myself up about that ? do excessive amount of cardio to "Work it Off" ? cut my calories or carbs by half today These are very common mistakes of dieting pple. By doing this you putting yourself in vicious cycle Eat - Starve - overeat- starve- overeat again. If you happened to exceeded your calorie intake yesterday for whatever reason, just go back to your regular macros today and move on. This is the best you can do. If you feel extra energy and you wanna do few extra reps during your workout or add intensity just because you can, that fine, do it, just do it in moderation. It's all about balance and mental health, your healthy eating habit should be your friend, not your enemy. Don't be too hard on yourself, keep in mind, we are all human beings and nobody is perfect. Of course, you don't want to exceed your macros every day, you should understand that discipline is a key and by controlling yourself you will get the progress, but if you do it for 95% and leave 5% for little mistakes it won't kill you ?
