Photo by @Robert Clark // While working in Egypt for @ナショナルジオグラフィック on "Plundering The Past" a story about global looting, I able to visit Abusir Al Malaq, a site of an ancient grave yard. My guide and the sites guards gave me a tour. Of all the things I have been able to do as a @ナショナルジオグラフィック photographer and opportunities that have come with that, I never thought that I would find a mummy. While searching the looting pits, I noticed a price of wood that was painted with white and blue. Until I got closer I had no idea that under the sand and dirt was the head of an ancient person. The #sarcophagus was made of wood and deteriorating. I asked our government guide what we should do? I was told that we could not collect it as the field was covered with hundreds of #mummy graves and that it would continue to deteriorate.
