Until recently, limited WiFi was a source of intense frustration for Cubans. Now every city offers public hotspots, like this Havana plaza, to anybody with by-the-hour access cards. At about two dollars each, the cards are still costly for people on state salaries—but the outdoor spaces bustle, especially after work. "Here Comes The Wave", National Geographic's look at changing Cuba, is on the shelves now inside the November issue of the magazine.
