Vail was very interesting this year in the final round. I got @klausisele to aggressively massage my arm and put physio tape (preventative) on my forearm. ?

I knew (and Klaus told me) that the massage would impact my performance in finals but I didn't care; I'd rather stay injury free in order to continue competing another day. I also didn't think about it in finals and still performed to my ability. ??

It's an extremely hard call to make as an athlete; the dilemma between "no massage, feel 100%, risk injury" vs. "massage, feel 80%, avoid injury". I still had a blast in finals and going out first in every boulder was a nice treat! ?

This was definitely my favourite boulder of the competition!! ?
