Things we learn in one moment often don't resonate until years later. Learning is a lifelong process, and knowing something is not the same as understanding. Perhaps progress is not as linear as we like to imagine it, but cyclical. We take in pieces of information consecutively, and come back to them time and time again, processing through our own experiences.

If something doesn't make sense now, don't brush it off as not being true or applicable. Listen to people. Remember what they have to say. And one day it may fall into place.
