She thought it was an exotic bird 🤦🏼‍♀️ So she took it home, named it “Pretty-Pretty”, and it continued to follow her around like a lost puppy. My brother came home and informed her that it was, in fact, a pigeon. Definitely not an exotic bird. The bird continued to stalk us for two days, and landed on my mom & I any time we came outside. It circled the house, and banged on the windows closest to whoever was home at the time. It’s one of the wildest things I’ve ever witnessed. My mom and I developed a soft spot for this relentless creature, while my dad.. not so much. But eventually he gave in too and built it a perch. Sadly, the second we started to accept it (didn’t really have a choice), it decided it didn’t want us anymore and appears to have left 😂 Yet, I think we can all take some notes from this bird. It is a prime example of “will not be refused”. There’s asking for something, and accepting a decline. And then there’s refusing to take no for an answer. I think often times in life we are too quick to hang our heads in defeat, when a little more persistence (and a healthy dose of annoyance) may be the tipping point. *side note: this is NOT applicable to dating* And that is the end of one of the most hilarious, unpredictable, and dramatic bird sagas ever.
