#Cancer is a disease with many faces, and the treatments currently available are not sufficiently effective in all patients. Researchers from Bayer are working on innovative immunotherapy approaches to mobilize a cancer patient's own immune system. Novel immunotherapies might be able to help even those patients who have already reached an advanced stage of the disease in the future.
In some patients with metastatic ­malignant melanoma, the overall survival time was increased to more than 10 years following immunotherapy compared to 10 months previously.
