According to liner notes, this 1946 version of "How High the Moon" was recorded at a concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It also includes a few sentences praising Coleman Hawkins, the jazz tenor saxophonist heard on the recording: "Here the Hawk plays, for me at least, one of his finest solos. It's wonderful to listen to Hawkins; he never misses a thing—all the notes, all the changes, in short, the work of a master." ?? This is from the album "Norman Granz' Jazz At the Philharmonic: How High the Moon." ?

We hope you don't miss a thing today. Be like Hawk! And happy weekend. ?
