I’ve been writing every day, of all the memories I have of Jazzy and the tender moments we have shared. It is my way of keeping her alive in something palpable. Since I published my first book, I've been working on a completed version of “Heart dog”. So much more has happened since then. I met the love of my life and I thought it was finally my turn to be happy, only to learn about my cancer a few months later. Soon after I finished my treatment, I received even worse news that Jazzy had cancer as well. Knowing what her diagnosis meant, instead of counting down the days, I decided to count up each day that I was blessed to have her. This updated Heart Dog will capture as best I can these events—how we fought for life, loved, and lived as if each day was the last.
I have launched a Kickstarter campaign for this photographic memoir, "Heart Dog — Angel in Disguise". I am hoping to publish this book by this fall if we met the goal. It will be a limited print with some photographs that I have not previously shared. If you are kind enough to help me make this project happen by pledging, you will receive a signed book.
