I discovered my new favorite non-wooden sketch pencil: the @ystudiostyle brassing with 2.0 mm lead available at the wonderful @koheziamsterdam shop. I love the versatility of this pencil. I can make light lines to very dark emboldened ones depending on how much pressure I add to it and the thicker lead is perfect for smooth shading. Lately I've been doodling echinacea flowers and I didn't realize it until yesterday that the healing aspects of this plant (beyond just immune boosting) is parallel with the healing regimen that I'm currently on. Isn't it funny how sometimes the very things we are drawn to hold within them messages that we need to hear? I love life moments like that. Where wonder and mysterious beauty gently remind that the picture is way bigger than the tiny one I can sometimes find myself stuck in.
