the air blew up the backs of my arms. I shuddered and turned to look at the sky, darkened from its gentle morning grey and streaked with sinewy blue white clouds - the rain hasn't come yet but it will - the birds have ceased their hurried songs and nest building and there is a general stillness to the afternoon as I stand at the wide open kitchen window making lunch - at the market this week were large fat radishes and I'm using up the last of them to make an apropos spring lunch - crusty country sourdough brought from the city @forgebakingco spread with my favorite creamy cultured butter @vermontcreamery slices of radish & a sprinkling of smoked sea salt
