"Textbook technique does not exist" ? I had a really interesting discussion with @mikeleept this week about the notion of "perfect form" on an exercise. Of course there are basic principles surrounding each exercise and we shouldn't be modifying them in such a way to increase the risk of injury: However, ultimately every movement should be adapted to the individual. To their needs, their goals, their physical limitations, their injuries, their mobility. There are SO many factors which play a part. Take the bear crawl ? This exercise can be performed a multitude of ways which vary in difficulty and which call upon using different muscle groups more heavily. Which one you choose is personal to you, your goals and your abilities ?? This is why it is essential to ADAPT your training to suit you. To be aware of your body.
