If you feel like your job isn't what you're put here to do, yet still you goto work everyday like you're supposed to, then this might be what you're thinking . You keep yourself busy, minute by minute, hour by hour, knowing that day after day you're earning your weekly pay, and it is the big Cheque you look forward to.
Every transaction, every exchange gives a small jolt of joy because that's one more morsel added to the ever closer payday. The Pay Cheque is reassurance that your toils can be turned into something you'll truly enjoy, the promise of happinesses: Travel, sky diving, a new brush set, whatever gives life meaning.

Thing is, the small joys from the incremental accruement of money only exists because they promise you something truly joyous in the end. But consistently getting by on that high is like lying in the most comfortable bed but never getting to fall asleep.

Don't be satisfied by the small happinesses gotten from the promise of getting what truly makes you happy. After all, all gold is fool's gold.
