A leopard seal named Casey at the @タロンガ動物園. This species is seldom found in human care. They are one of the most deadly predators in their native Antarctica, coming second only to the killer whale. They’re huge, weighing in at 440-1,320 pounds (200-600 kg), but nimble enough to catch and devour penguins and other large prey. Leopard seals have been known to be very curious creatures, sometimes “playing” with penguins they have no intention of killing.
