Yesterday was our 10 year anniversary. It was the day after our dear friend Matt's memorial and Mike and I talked a lot about what traits of Matt's we could apply to our own lives to improve upon ourselves. Matt was many things but one thing that always stuck out to me was that he was an amazing husband, who treated Emily with the same adoration after ten years that he had for her on the day they met. Mike said that if he had to pick one thing, it would be that he wanted to try to see life through the lens of Matt’s optimism. I said that I wanted to find more ways to make special gestures to the people I love.
