Photo and text by Ben Mikha @BenMikha | This photo sadly concludes my take over! It’s my most recent adventure to another tropical destination on bucket list. A friend and I hired $5.00 scooters from a couple of locals on the street. They were barely “road worthy” on Western terms but they got us from point A to point B...a few slips and a couple of brake failures later. The island that this beach is located on has less than 10,000 permanent residents, and it is in many ways similar to Samoa. We rode through broken gravel roads to reach our destination. The usability of the roads were questionable, but they made for a grand adventure. Like I said in my earlier posts, my favourite setting is tropical and this beach absolutely blew me away. I don’t know about you, but I saw a T-rex when looking down from this point. Besides the two cheekily drawn phrases in the sand, we had the entire beach to ourselves for sunset. Only thing was we hadn’t planned was how we were getting back across those pot hole ridden roads in the dark (they don’t have street lamps) in our “economic” scooters. It’s been an absolute pleasure sharing some of my favourite experiences with you through photography. I hope I given you a glimpse of the beauty out there in the world. I also hope that it may encourage you to continue to take a stand for nature and wild life. Though we all love to enjoy nature's beauty, we also need to take part in being responsible for its preservation. If you enjoyed the content I’ve shared with you all, remember to continue to follow the journey here at @benmikha.
