Enjoy. . - I’m 6’2” tall (188 cm). - My first word was "ball". - My middle name "Anelalani" is Hawaiian and means "guardian angel in heaven". - My last name “Wopat” is Czech. - I started kindergarten at age 4 because I was “socially advanced” for my age. I also ate rollie pollies because my cousin told me they were raisins. So there’s that. - I did gymnastics until 6th grade (got too tall). I also took a variety of dance classes and played just about every sport as a child, except soccer (hated it). - I’m allergic to mango skin. - I was Abraham Lincoln for Halloween in 5th grade, and memorized the Gettysburg Address. - I broke my high school’s discus record. My dad was my coach (he was a world class decathlete in his prime). - I split my chin open in high school doing “the worm” on cement minutes before our CIF championship match. We won, then I went and got stitches. - I threw up from trying so hard at my first USA volleyball high performance tryout. But I made the cut. - My freshman year of college, I cut off all my hair because I was bored. - I graduated from Stanford University with a human biology degree, and plan on doing something in the medical field once I’m done with volleyball. - I almost minored in art, and took painting, film photography, sculpture, poetry, and other art courses while at Stanford. I loved it. - I made a shark longboard from scrap (complete with teeth and all) and rode it around campus. Ran into trees occasionally, but no people. My coaches weren’t pleased. - I play the guitar, self taught. I can sing too, but I can’t promise you will like it. - I love any activities in nature - camping, fishing, hiking, diving, surfing, snowboarding, you name it. - I am fluent in French, and can speak bits of American Sign Language, Turkish, and Japanese. - I’m a sucker for romance movies. Shocker, I know. - I can walk on my hands. - I have a tattoo and a nose piercing. I may get another tattoo, I may not. - Mexican food is my all time favorite.
