I wouldn’t say one is ‘better’ or ‘healthier’ than the other (both are processed) but when using Stevia I found myself using more and more because it was ‘calorie-free’. When I use brown sugar I’m more conscious of moderation and not dumping 3-4 packets in! - Same goes with any other calorie-free or ‘alternative’ when it comes to food. Have you ever looked at a piece of cake and told yourself you can’t have it yet when you find a ‘sugar-free’ version you end up having 2-3 slices? Had you just had the cake in the first place you may have actually been satisfied after just a few bites and eaten it with more appreciation. If we don’t feel satisfied we end up overeating in other areas so I encourage just having a small portion of the real thing over excess of the ‘not-so-real’ thing. - And yes, the Stevia you use IS actually processed. Stevia in itself is a plant but in order for it to have a shelf life, companies need to include additional ingredients. Look at the ingredients in your Stevia and you’ll see erythritol, dextrose or ‘natural flavors’ added. Again, not knocking it in entirety but just be aware that sometimes the seemingly ‘better’ option isn’t always better and where you think you’re saving calories, you’re likely just making up for it by overeating somewhere else. - #LearnMyMethod ??
