SNEAKERという言葉は1917年に発表したKedsの広告から生まれ、NBA選手向けなどプロ仕様のラインとして生まれた、深い歴史を持つPRO-Keds。
当時1足10万円が相場だったアスレチックシューズ市場に10分の1の価格で商品を発表しセンセーションを巻き起こした、挑戦的でイノベーティブな存在でした。
今回のコラボレーションでは、TRUNK(HOTEL)が掲げる等身大の社会貢献「ソーシャライジング」のコンセプトに共感し、PRO-Keds初の試みとなる「ローカルファースト」「サステイナビリティ」を取り入れたオリジナルのスニーカーを開発。
PRO-Kedsの人気モデルである「ROYAL AMERICA」をベースに、ファブリックには同アイテムのために生産された上質なMade in Japanのキャンバス素材を使用。
タンとインソールにはTRUNK(HOTEL)のボックスロゴを施し、ミッドソールにはTRUNK(HOTEL)の所在地を表す「TSJ531 1500001」（＝東京都渋谷区神宮前5-31、〒150-0001）のプリントがデザインされています。
カラーはホワイトとネイビーの二色展開。ネイビーは国内で環境負荷に配慮した染色工場にて染め上げられたオリジナルカラー。

TRUNK(HOTEL) has collaborated with the renowned American shoe brand “Keds” to design these “socializing” original sneakers, focusing on the concepts of “local first” and “sustainability”.
