Today is National Visit the Zoo Day, and what better way to celebrate than by taking a trip to your local zoo? Zoos work tirelessly to save wildlife 365 days a year. Many species only exist in captivity now, so when you support a local accredited zoo, your money goes directly towards breeding and saving rare animals.
I’m lucky to live right down the street from @LincolnChildrensZoo, which is home to over 400 animals including camels, red pandas, frill necked lizards, servals and tomato frogs. Lincoln Children’s Zoo is committed to animal conservation efforts and saving animals from extinction. The Zoo partners with organizations throughout the world that manage captive and wild animals with a goal to create a plan to ensure endangered species are protected for future generations. By supporting your local zoo, you are supporting the multitude of conservation programs that partner with them and in the end, you’re helping these heroes save species. So make a plan to visit a Zoo and see what we can #SaveTogether!
