This book by @merelymeeralee is not only beautiful and refreshingly real but it is such a right-on-time gift. I have found that when I open my heart in transparency and vulnerability, there is such an unbreakable light and strength in that moment. But almost always following in the still and reflective space, there are the fears and thoughts of “oh dear me what did I just do?” Because while vulnerability and a soft heart are the seeds of courage and true strength, they can also be the very ways in which we have been or can be crushed by others. Yet we cannot experience the fullness of joy and love without taking that risk. The paradox of living, loving and growing. But as I was reminded by Meera Lee Patel’s timely words, “There are moments when I simply feel free. Unethered from my constant fear of being different, of being judged or singled out. In these moments, I float.”
