Here is the story behind this “poodle” Harlow made in art class...I was unpacking all of the art work the girls brought home from school this week, asking them to decide what was worth keeping and what was not. I took this thing out from Harlow’s bag and said, “Harlow, can we throw out this dog?” Harlow said, “First of all, it’s a poodle. And no. It’s cute. I like it.” I was about to try to convince her to toss it anyway, when Mazzy walked into the room. “The poodle!!!! Harlow, why do you have that?” Harlow told her that she made it. Mazzy was in disbelief. “YOU MADE THE POODLE?????!!!!!” Apparently, it’s been hanging on the wall outside of the art room for most of the year and Mazzy and her friends always talk to it and pet it for good luck before they go into class. “I’m just so excited that YOU made the poodle so we get to have it in our home,” Mazzy told her beaming little sister.
