One of the toughest things about traveling with kids is that the really good brunch spots, ice cream shops, beignet places, etc. that everyone recommends, often have long lines. I don’t mind waiting for memorable food, but my kids could not care less. They don’t understand long lines for breakfast. They would be just as happy eating frozen waffles on the couch. I guess it’s the equivalent of me waiting on a long line to get into a packed club. Like, wouldn’t we have just as much fun, if not more, if we were drinking at home??? Anyway, I appreciate how many people messaged me to say how much Mazzy and Harlow acting miserable and bored out of their minds while waiting to get seated for brunch on my story reminded them of their own kids. That’s real life ??‍♀️ In the end, all the grown-ups thought the eggs, the French toast, the biscuits, etc. were totally worth it.
