The thing about meditation is you become more and more you the more that you do it my darlings. I was raised in a catholic family where showing the body was a sin, as a result I hid myself away from the world and wore big baggy clothes from top to toe. As a young woman I was taught that ‘imperfection’ was ugly and remained in an abusive relationship where I was constantly ridiculed and criticised for my appearance. As a mother of two I am thankful for my health, mobility and strong athletic body that I’ve worked hard to achieve. Skin is not a sin my darlings, child bearing hips are not “too wide” stretch marks aren’t “ugly” and there’s no such thing as “size perfect” stop listening to the negativity from others and start listening to the voice from within. Find yourself, love yourself and lift your self esteem. It’s ok to be you, wholeheartedly, unashamedly and however you wish to express yourself. Personally I adore the body, I love every curve, contour and quirk and could spend hours upon hours planting forehead kisses and entwining fingers. We are most beautiful in life when we are free to be ourselves instead of chasing others false ideals -----------------------
