If you remember all the way back to last week, Mazzy promised she wouldn’t make a fuss about going to camp, if in return, I promised to go tubing with her on our weekend upstate. I agreed. I was desperate. Mazzy held me to my promise and this past weekend, I found myself hanging on for dear life while skidding on top of Silver Lake. It was a blast though and I’m so glad she made me do it. I think I shocked everybody when I hopped on that tube. My favorite part was how concerned Mazzy was that I was having a good time. She asked me if I was scared before the boat started and told me it was going to be okay. Then in the middle of the ride, above the sound of the engine and my shrieking, she screamed, “MOM!!! ARE YOU ENJOYING YOURSELF????” It was a total role reversal and it was awesome. Somehow, I managed to hang on the entirety of the ride (full video was 4:33) and my muscles paid for it the next day. Many people who watched my story were disappointed that I didn’t flip. Sorry! If you want to see someone flip, swipe left to watch Mazzy and her friends totally wipe out.
