Jordan López’s Bronx barbershop doubles as a baseball shrine. He’s one of several barbers catering to wealthy @MLB players — and he’ll go great lengths to please his customers. @フェリックス・ヘルナンデス of the @シアトル・マリナーズ only lets Jordan cut his hair. Several times a year, Jordan takes the 6-hour flight to Seattle — or meets @フェリックス・ヘルナンデス on the road. Jordan moved to New York from the Dominican Republic at 17. He wanted to be like his mother, a hair stylist, so she enrolled him in barber school. A year later, he was cutting men’s hair at her salon. A friend introduced him to a player, @luismcpinales, then a rising star for the Florida Marlins. When they were in town, he cut Castillo’s hair. The next year, he was invited to spring training in Florida, and the network grew from there. Here, @emmajoyhowells photographed Jordan finishing a cut for @ニューヨーク・ヤンキース pitcher @cc_sabathia. Would your barber travel 7,000 miles to cut your hair? For some major league stars, flying in their go-to guy for a trim is a pregame ritual. Visit the link in our profile to read more.
