It's obvious our elected decision-makers are failing our communities. But what's less clear is how we can support the wave of political energy we are seeing across the country and prepare a new generation of leadership by the people. That's why I'm excited to share the School of Political Leadership (SoPL), a program developed by @HEALFoodAlliance that invests in food & farm justice leaders from grassroots communities, preparing them to run for office, work on campaigns, and drive real political change! For too long the politicians who determine our food and farm policies have been placing profit over our people. Or as SoPL participant Neftali Duran, founder of the @ICollective puts it, -- "We shouldn't forget about the environment, we shouldn't forget about the people cooking, picking, processing our foods.
