While I’ve been healing my fracture in my leg I have been able to focus in on strengthening my upper body, fingers, and core. Though, I like to have an element of aerobic training to complete my workouts and get my heart rate up. I’ve found that swimming and cycling are perfect for this; since I can’t kick with my bad leg, I put a @finisswim pull buoy between my legs and pull with my arms. By doing this, I get an extra challenge to my shoulders and torso mobility which is good cross over for climbing. Injuries have a way of teaching us patience, and to examine our body’s imbalances. They can provide an important chapter in goal setting as they require us to strengthen our weaknesses. What I’ve found is there is no excuse to stop training, I just need to adapt to my condition. ? who wants to go swimming? ?
