Don’t go to the Douro Valley wine region, it’s not pretty at all. ?

View from the @sixsensesdourovalley hotel. Between the wine, the view, the hotel dog Agua, and that spa, I so so so didn’t want to leave.

This is not an ad, btw. I paid for my stay and would do it again. Perfect place to chill out or use as a home base to explore the region. Definitely one of my favorite hotels in Portugal. Can’t wait to return and maybe just live there. ?

Also - pro tip: if you get the winter package, it includes a wine tasting for two and two massages. I did not realize that and missed out on both. Sad face.

But their spa has an infrared sauna, a salt sauna, a vapor sauna, a kneipp therapy pool (or it was just part of the decor, but whatever I walked across the rock pool anyway!) I spent hours there! #hotellife

If you can go in November you get better rates, less crowds and mother nature’s incredible autumn colors. ?
