Man’s best friend.... #fiercely #loyal . This is one of my favorite photos. It was taken at our place in Southern Utah as we took our two #GSDs for their daily walk. As many of you may know, Judith is actually Dave’s late mom. She was a fierce advocate for canines and always believed that every dog was good... . She saved numerous dogs from being put down due to behavioral and/or aggressive behavior. She was always able to see their soul and break through so their good could shine. Her favorite breed was #german #shepherds and she had a house full of them. She always kept a #doberman as a pet, to remind herself, she would say, as to why she had GSDs!!! BART, my first GSD, pictures here was given to us by Judi. He gave us 15 amazing years of loyalty, protection, and love. We got Lola B girl, also pictured here, when Bart was about 5. We weren’t sure if he would accept her, but she came running right up to him and shoved her tiny puppy face in his huge mouth!!!! He was so gentle and kind with her....and quickly became her protector too!!! He had that calm and confident personality that would stop people all the time... not to mention he was absolutely gorgeous!!! . I learned so much from him and he allowed me to grow in ways I didn’t think I would have the courage to grow. He lived with defined, unwavering boundaries....but kind and loyal to the few he let into his circle of trust... he gracefully accepted life as he aged and the limitations it brought to him physically - and didn’t allow those limitations to define his spirit... as I look over at Lola B snuggled with her Stumpy doo...
