Happy #internationalpolarbearday!
This is the best I’m gonna get with my polar bear selfies, but I could’ve stayed in this tunnel all day watching these young bears zoom around the pool, thwap their big paws against the glass for extra propulsion and play with rubber balls.
Though I wish we could celebrate this day with bear hugs and cakes, we CAN take a moment to make ourselves aware of the snow bears’ situation and what we can do to keep them on this planet.
An excellent place to start is to head over to the @polarbearsinternational website. They’re a devoted team of scientists that study and track polar bears, their populations and their habitats.
They also provide a wealth of info and actionable ways you can help move polar bears from the vulnerable/threatened species list.
