Electra Meccanica’s “Solo EV” is a single-seat three-wheeler selling for $15,500. The electric car has a 100-mile range and can be charged at a regular household socket in under 6 hours. (And you’ll never have to be anyone’s ride again.)
The electric automaker said that larger-scale production of the Solo EV is underway at a new facility in China. The company expects to sell 50 of the vehicles by March 31, 2019. But with production at the new factory now in progress, the company plans to sell 5,000 models by year-end.
