Shira Wheeler and Abigail Gerow are opening up the conversation around vaginal health in an empowering new way. The pair are launching @ODDOBODY today, a direct-to-consumer collection of natural and non-synthetic Peruvian and Japanese 100 percent cotton underwear. The three simple cuts, which Wheeler based on her mom’s old bathing suit silhouettes from Israel in the 1970s, are available in white, pink, and black. With every purchase, the customer will also receive the bi-annual ODDOBODY manual, a beautifully curated foldout pamphlet filled with detailed information on vulva care and specific topics such as how to avoid UTIs, the dos and don’ts of pubic hair grooming, and how to maintain a healthy vaginal microbiome. All of the research was overseen by ODDO’s advisory board, which is made up of experts like Jana Freeman, MD/OBGYN; Morgane Richardson, doula, educator, and activist; and Shula Melamed , MA MPH, sex-health expert.
