ジョン・スタンメイヤーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ジョン・スタンメイヤーInstagram)「Swipe ~ There was one story I did that never ran in @natgeo magazine, a story from a few years ago on the culture of sugar around the world. The writer for this story was changed three times. When the text was submitted, the narrative became focused more on the science than the way we grow, use and consume sugar. My friend and brilliant photographer, @robertclarkphoto, did the photography of sugary foods in studio, and the result was the colorful amazingness of the strangeness of these often unhealthy white crystals. I think I’ve done 17 stories for the magazine, thankful for each in the attempt to tell complicated stories that connect to all of us. The 18th comes out in the August issue (a story on migration) and the 19th is planned for 2020…we think longterm at this amazing magazine. Today I was editing the story for 2020, part VIII of the @outofedenwalk, ironically also from India, and came upon this photograph from a welcoming evening at a chai shop in Varanasi from 2010. I was back in Varanasi last March for the story coming out next year and passed this wonderful place many times. It hadn’t changed whatsoever.
