Blowing out somebody else’s light will not make yours shine brighter. Recently I had a bully try to hate on me for being fun and energetic with my boyfriend, having a laugh with a group of friends in a quiet space when nobody else was around. The bully saw a picture of me with my boyfriend and slated everything about me - from a picture!? Imagine all that you are, your energy, personality and ability all discarded and unkind judgement being passed simply on a picture that says nothing. Unfortunately the bully didn’t know me, had never met me and had no idea about the life that I lead, so when they said such horrible things about me and I informed them otherwise they became even more angry and unkind. Bullies thrive on putting other people down to make themselves feel better, they take out their insecurities on others and have a constant need to feel better and more successful than the people around them. Yet when they come a across a kind, happy and successful person they have no idea what to do because they’re so used to being angry and unkind.
