I think it's more a case of what impact have humans had upon the earth for the past 100,000 years or less versus what impact the Earth has has upon itself. I respect you David both as a rugby player and an environmental activist but there are things in your video like a cleared corridor for a road made from a quarry product, namely asphalt and wind turbines made from steel (iron ore combined with blast capabilities of coking coal) that aren't possible without intervention with nature. If a role model like you can promote maintaining a sustainable environment then I think you can also promote a sustainable and environmental friendly mining industry that produces the raw products needed to make our lives what they are today.

Renewables do not provide base load power and thus will kill the entire industrial base of our economy and resign hundreds of thousands of your fellow citizens to poverty and unemployment. Meanwhile China & India will increase emissions annually by the amount of our total emissions. But you’ll be ok like most virtue signallers earning your $1m professional rugby contract. Hypocrisy is palpable.
